Una casa inizialmente disabitata ma ora appartenente alla sua nuova proprietaria: Helena Elmsdale, che ha preso a piene mani l&#8217;eredit\u00e0 lasciatale dal padre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ma la casa ha una storia oscura che si perde nei meandri del tempo e che raggiunge vecchi inquilini con il suo sussurro inquietante. Ha inizio cos\u00ec una storia famigliare, fatta di intrighi, tradimenti, denaro e ambizioni. L&#8217;autrice trascina in una spirale discendente il cui esito \u00e8 incerto fino all&#8217;ultimo, anche per le componenti di sovrannaturale e d&#8217;investigazione che permeano il libro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si ha come risultato una lettura che incuriosisce dall&#8217;inizio alla fine.
