La narrazione \u00e8 tanto serrata da far dimenticare il destino dei personaggi gi\u00e0 segnato, con l&#8217;alta probabilit\u00e0 di ribaltare le opinioni generali da sempre fondate.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;autrice descrive la vita di Cromwell con grande fervore, riuscendo nell&#8217;intento di far immedesimare i lettori in un personaggio di cos\u00ec alto spessore, entrando nella sua psicologia e rendendola pubblica e verosimile, mostrando la forza ma anche le debolezze e gli elementi pi\u00f9 umani. Le quasi 1000 pagine che compongono il tomo non spaventano, scorrono veloci e travolgenti fino al grande finale, una degna conclusione della trilogia e che ripaga l&#8217;attesa della pubblicazione.<\/p>\n<p>Lotte, intrighi politici e vita quotidiana si intrecciano illustrando una vita tanto lontana dalla nostra e che, nonostante le ricchezze e i privilegi, non siamo certi di volere per noi stessi. La Mantel narra perfettamente gli oneri e gli onori che Cromwell si \u00e8 dovuto addossare, correndo rischi inimmaginabili e senza la possibilit\u00e0 di fidarsi davvero di qualcuno.
